It’s interesting how a child trusts implicitly in the mother. Nothing terrifies a child who is enfolded in the loving and warm arms of the Mum. Our God promises us even greater love than this:
Yet Jerusalem[a] says, “The Lord has deserted us;
the Lord has forgotten us.”
“Never! Can a mother forget her nursing child?
Can she feel no love for the child she has borne?
But even if that were possible,
I would not forget you!
Comfort
These words of God written by Isaiah are comforting and re-assuring. They remind us of how much God loves and cares for us. We can rest in the Lord’s love and care in all of life’s circumstances. He is with us, even in times of sorrow, disappointment and frustration. He sees our wounds as we go through the battles of life. He gently nurses us back to life and strengt5h.
Confidence
He wants us to have confidence in Him and His ability to protect us and provide for us.It is essential to have faith in the Lord as we pray to Him and walk with Him.
And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. Hebrews 11:6
And again:
Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said,
“I will never fail you.
I will never abandon you.”
Conclusion
If God is for us, who can be against us? What can separate us from the love of Christ? Romans 8:31-39
Whatever we go through in life isn’t strong enough to separate us from the love of Christ. It doesn’t matter if He saves us from the fiery trials or not. Like Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego, we will stand for Him even if He doesn’t save us from present troubles. He is with us in the fire and that’s what counts most. Daniel 3:19-30.

- Sweet is the promise “I will not forget thee,”
Nothing can molest or turn my soul away;
E’en though the night be dark within the valley,
Just beyond is shining an eternal day.- Refrain:
I will not forget thee or leave thee;
In My hands I’ll hold thee, in My arms I’ll fold thee;
I will not forget thee or leave thee;
I am thy Redeemer, I will care for thee.
- Refrain:
- Trusting the promise “I will not forget thee,”
Onward I will go with songs of joy and love,
Though earth despise me, though my friends forsake me,
I shall be remembered in my home above. - When at the golden portals I am standing,
All my tribulations, all my sorrows past,
How sweet to hear the blessed proclamation,
“Enter, faithful servant, welcome home at last.”
